MARAM at a glance

The 29,85 metre tri-deck motor yacht MARAM is built in steel and aluminium by French yard Chantier Naval de Marseille to a design by Michel Bigoin. She was delivered in 1989 with an ongoing refit and upgrading from 2016. The interior which accommodates 8/10 guests in 4/5 cabins consisting of a master suite, VIP suite, a double and two twins, all with en suite bathroom facilities. In addition, there are quarters for a captain and four crew.

Cabins and the public areas are unexpectedly large. The spacious main saloon has large settees to port and starboard and an formal dining forward with seating for 8 to 10 guests and 3 to 5 crew. A well appointed galley has a large freestanding table and chairs in the centre, making it ideal for casual breakfasts and snacks through the day.

The aft deck is geared towards al fresco entertaining and dining. The sun deck is dedicated to sun worshippers, with an array of sun pads and sun loungers, while the aft bridge deck is used for tender stowage.

Interior

Spacious and comfortable

Accommodation

Main Salon

The salon offers ample space to dine with 8 and sit comfortable. Our experience though is that especially in summertime people prefer to sit outside at the shaded aft deck or work on their tan on one of the sunny places onboard

Chefs Kitchen

The crown jewel in the kitchen is definitely the iconic La Cornue stove with 5 high calorie burners one gas and one electric oven. It’s a dream for those who like to cook or the chef you might employ to do the do the cooking for you. A big fridge, freezer, dishwasher and a place to sit with four for a quick snack or some breakfast complement the kitchen set-up.

Master Bedroom

The biggest room of them all, The Master Bedroom, is a more then comfortable space. ample space for your wardrobe and its own spacious bathroom with large round bath.

The VIP

The VIP Cabin is just that tiny bid smaller than the Master and also has its en suite bathroom with a large round bath.

The Grey Cabin

Recently refurbished and ready to go. A nice room with two single beds, and of course with its own bathroom with a bath.

The Penthouse

Situated at the top deck, having a lot of privacy being out of the way of anybody passing by, we have The Penthouse. Including a spacious bathroom with jaccuzi.

The Crew Appartment

This space has also been recently refurbished and a little kitchenette has been included for crew to prepare something simple for themselves. We also at times just used it as a guest room for our older kids.

The Captains Quarter

The wheelhouse provides acces to the Captains Quarters. A single bed with its own toilet and shower.

The Wheelhouse

The wheelhouse with its mainly glass bridge is spacious and outfitted with all systems needed to provide a safe and comfortable cruizing experience. Digital guage clusters and map system, weather station and CCTV to monitor the engine room and aft deck.

Other Areas

The Sundeck

In fact there are two sundecks. One just forward of the Portuguese bridge and the one, the big one. And when we say big, we mean really big. Sun worshippers delight. With a shower to cool down from time to time.

The Aft Deck

The Aft Deck consists of two spaces. The main one for entertaining and relaxation and the other one for crew to work on docking etc. The entry to the lazarette is also found here.

The Dingy Deck

On the Dingy Deck two RIB’s are parked. One Zodiac with a 40 hp Mercury and a Brand with a 30 hp Yamaha outboard.

Storage Shed

Adjacent to the fore deck there is a roomy cabinlike space to store provisions, tools, etc.
